DEFINING US
Students of color are a majority of our nation’s youth. Black and brown students are the largest population among them. Historically plagued by negative stereotypes, these students are now in the cross hairs of a debate that threatens to silence conversations about race among students and teachers. Defining US, the first documentary in a series with a companion digital platform, tells the rarely heard stories of students and educators who explain why discussions about race are so important for marginalized youth.
