TBFF IN THE COMMUNITY BRAMPTON - COMMUNITY FILM & CULTURAL ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM
The Toronto Black Film Festival (TBFF) proudly joins the Black Actors and Film Guild Canada (BAFGC) Annual Convention, the Canadian Black Screen Awards, and the Black Empowerment Unit (BEU) Brampton to present a Community Film & Cultural Engagement Program in celebration of Black History Month.
This collaborative program brings film, culture, and community together, spotlighting powerful Black stories and creative voices within a vibrant festival environment. Designed to engage audiences, creatives, and industry professionals alike, the initiative reflects a shared commitment to representation, access, and cultural exchange. Presented as part of the larger BAFGC and CBS Awards celebrations in Brampton, the program underscores the role of festivals as spaces for connection, dialogue, and collective celebration—honouring Black excellence on screen while strengthening community bonds and creative collaboration. This partnership marks an exciting step toward deeper community-driven programming and continued collaboration in future editions.
