CUT BAIT

By Robert Walkine

Cut Bait is an animated short that examines an estranged father son relationship with the comedic aspect of a Bahamian folklore. An old fisherman named Papa Willie takes his one and only son named Old Bean out on a fishing trip to bring home supper and to strengthen their already estranged relationship. While the father is enthusiastic about this venture the son is the exact polar opposite from years of separation and generational gap as large as the ocean they sail on. Audience members young and old will appreciate the morals and lessons to be learnt from this visually-stylized interpretation of an old Bahamian proverb about taking up space in a boat.
