After being asked by his daughter to come to her "bring a parent to school day," a dad/husband tries to maneuver through a day of being isolated from his family so that he can attempt to learn to read before he goes to his daughter's event the next day. After several failed attempts, he ultimately realizes that he won't be able to learn in time, and reveals to his wife that he can't read.
