Tormented by his past and ongoing nightmares, amateur athlete, Tino, uses running as a way to escape from old wounds. His childhood friend, Frederick is fresh out of prison and seeks to redeem himself. However, growing apart over the years they have different ways of moving through the world. To reconnect, Frederick offers Tino a mystery object wrapped in a paper bag. Intended as a gift from Tino's father, he rejects the proposition, as he has worked too hard to rebuild himself.
Struggling to sleep, a restless Tino decides to go for a run but is stopped by police who question and beat him up. This becomes the catalyst for Tino to accept Frederick's plan. Finally, the mystery object is revealed to us. Tino learns that in order to succeed, they need to both work together to find liberation.
