AYITI MON CINEMA

The director, Vanessa-Tatjana Beerli, went to Haiti in order to help the organization GRAHN-MONDE to establish a film festival. Through many inspiring encounters and revealing footage, Vanessa assesses the current state of cinema and culture in a country disinherited which is still fighting to get up from its successive disasters. Despite the disappearance of the movie theater and total lack of funding, this country abounds of positive initiative. Ayiti mon cinema wants to be hopeful and wishes to give back momentum to this past where cinema had a place of choice in the Haitian society. Because Culture is a wealth in Haiti!
