NAVIGATING THE GREAT WHITE WAY

By Jarred Bedgood

During the racial unrest of 2020, the voices of Broadway spoke up for what felt like the first time since the COVID-19 shutdown. Artists everywhere called out the racism they experienced within their work environments, and the need for change that was sweeping the nation turned its head towards the marquees.

In this documentary, Jarred Bedgood reflects upon his own experiences and interviews four artists of color about theirs. The conversation comes to a head when two protests erupt in the heart of Times Square. We watch as the Broadway community comes together in a way not seen in a long time.

Lasting change comes for Jarred throughout this journey, but can we say the same about Broadway?
